We are in the process of building a new version of our website and we need the database from the old version migrated to the new one. The person who was dealing with this side of the project has been unfortunately pulled off the project due to personal issues and we are at a loss for what we need to do to get the process completed. I have a .xls file but when I tried to upload it in the EE backend it aid it was the wrong file type. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi there,

Are you the same person that opened the support ticket earlier and asked for help with migrating data from these sites?

Site we are exporting from: kidcreates.wpengine.com
Site we are exporting to: kidcreatestudio.com

From this other topic?

https://eventespresso.com/topic/exporting-from-ee3-then-importing-into-ee3-on-another-site-failing/

In any case, we’ll need full access to both sites (WP admin and FTP access, both sites) to be able to access the databases from both sites.

Please note we probably can do the migration for one site within the 30 minutes of priority support time, so if there are additional sites that need database migrations that will require the purchase of additional support tokens.

Please use the secure “Redeem a support token” form to send the remainder of the needed information. Please do not post credentials here.

I was unaware that was made but yes it is the same problem. I will submit another request form with the proper credentials.

I’d love to be able to help you out with this today, but I’m afraid the information that’s been sent so far has been incomplete, incorrect, and there should be only two sites involved, so far we’ve been sent partial information for 4 or 5 different websites.

Here’s the credential information we’ll need to be able to work with the data and make sure the data gets correctly migrated from and to the correct site.

1) The source site URL, with correct WP admin credentials
2) Source site phpmyadmin (or similar database tool) access
3) Source site SFTP access
4) The target site URL, with correct WP admin credentials
5) Target site phpmyadmin (or similar database tool) access
6) Target site SFTP access

When you send the form please be sure to include all 6 of the above pieces of information and please double check and verify that everything is correct. e.g. http://kidscreateweb.wpengine.com isn’t a valid website at the moment and returns a 404 error.
