Hi, I just updated from ee4 decaf to the ee4 core, everything went smoothly with the migration. However, I am having problems with the Calendar add-on, I recently just purchased. The plugin installed fine as far as I could tell, but when I use the shortcode [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] on a page or post, it does not display, nor does the widget. I am puzzled because everything else is working perfectly. Please help. Thanks.

Hi there Dr. Sharma,

Could you confirm that you have the latest version of the Event Espresso 4 calendar installed on your site?

For example, the Event Espresso 3 calendar add-on will not show events for Event Espresso 4?

Also, is the page with the shortcode published (publicly available)?

Hi Lorenzo,

Yes, I have EE Calendar (EE 4.3+) Version 3.2.1.p running on Event Espresso Version 4.6.20.p

Also, the page is publicly published.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the link. It looks like your theme (SovLegal) is loading a script called Fullcalendar, which we also load as our calendar uses it. This in itself might not be an issue, but there is a JavaScript error on your site coming from the theme:

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery.fullCalendar.gcalFeed is not a function

This error might be a result of two copies of the same file being loaded.

JavaScript errors will stop any JavaScript after the error from running, which is why the calendar cannot bve seen, the error stops it from loading.

If possible can you run the following tests:

Disable Event Espresso calendar, and then refresh the calendar page and open the browsers developer tools (right click, inspect element), and go to the Console tab. See if any errors exist.

Keep or re-enable the EE calendar and temporarily swap to a default theme such as Twentyfifteen and see if the calendar appears.

Please let me know the results.

We switched the wordpress theme to a new one, it works now.

Thanks.
