EE 4 Does not update to lastest version

I have an issue and that is, I have no update notifications in plugins. I know that my version of EE is out of date but in plugins it says it is the latest version. The latest version i can see is 4.9.4 and the one I have installed is 4.9.2 I have printable tickets addon and I cannot use it with the version I have installed. Anyone have an answer?

Hi Steve,

The latest version is 4.9.40 (4.9.4 is an older version)

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.

Do you have you license key set in the settings?

If you have a key set and save the settings on the above page it should force EE to check for updates, so if you do that and then check the plugins page does it show an update?

Yes we have a key and I updated the general setting page. The version we have is Version 4.9.22.rc.033 and there is no update in plugin.

The real issue is that when we try and update our Event Espresso – Ticketing (EE 4+) it says we need to update because this plugin requires another EE version. This is the error message from EE Ticketing: An error has occurred:
The Events “Ticketing” addon could not be activated because it requires Events Core version “4.9.26.rc.000” or higher in order to run.
Your version of Events Core is currently at “4.9.22.rc.033”. Please upgrade Events Core first and then re-attempt activating “Ticketing”.

So what do we do to retify this issue? Love to get some help.

Ok so your running a release candidate version, that’s what the rc is in your version number: 4.9.22.rc.033

You will not see an update for a release candidate version of the plugin through the plugin menu and will need to manually update Event Espresso, we have some documentation on doing that here:

Once you are back on the ‘standard’ release version (following the above) the auto update should then work as expected and the ticketing add-on should also active with the latest version.
