EE 4.8.10p manual registrations remain in Payment Pending

I recently upgraded to EE 4.8.10.p Everything seems to be working normally so far. However, I noticed one change in behavior when I process a manual registration:

Find the event and look at its registrations
Click on Add New Registration at the top
Select the ticket
Fill in First Name, Last Name, etc.
Click on Apply Payment (usually displays automatically)
Fill in (say) Offline Credit Card Payment with the *** full amount *** required.
Make sure that the answer is Approved to the question Change Registration Status?
Click Send Related Messages and click on Apply Payment

After doing this, the payment is registered properly but the registration status remains in Pending Payment.

This is not a huge deal because I can change the registration status to Accepted. However, it is a bug, and if I don’t correct it immediately, will confusion down the road. If you can schedule this for a fix, that would be great.

Thank you for reporting this, we have an open ticket for our developers to fix this.

I have added this thread to the ticket and we will add an update once this has been released.

Great, thanks! Can you also add to the ticket to check to see if emails are being sent properly? Even though I checked Send Related Messages I am not getting the email that I expect, even after an hour. I have checked Spam, etc.

Hi, those would be related since the status is not actually changing. As a workaround, please browse to the registration details page, then click on send related messages and then click Approve.

The registration approved email would then be sent out.
