WP Version 4.0.1 Also have the EE-Calendar installed. Specific Event needing update: FIRST ISSUE > Cannot Edit due to missing Toolbar (see enclosed screenshots) SECOND ISSUE > Needing latest EE update but no license box found under settings, nor Update button – how does one them auto update w/a current license without having to download and install all over again? PLUGINS INSTALLED GENERAL SETTINGS – no License box setting nor Update button area MISSING TOOLBAR – Chrome MISSING MEDIA BUTTON – FireFox |
Hi, the missing toolbar may be caused by a conflict with another plugin on the site. Have you tried temporarily deactivating other plugins to see if it appears? Also, the support key field should appear in that area. Is this site part of a multi-site install? If so, it would appear on the primary site and this sub site would need to be manually updated: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/updating-event-espresso/#update_manually — |

We installed the latest version of EE 4.4.10.p and saw no change. We noticed that if you create a new event you see the toolbar and Add Media button but if you return to an existing event, some or all of the editing options disappear. Do you have any other suggestions? Have you seen this issue before? |
Hi there, Yes, we’ve seen these before and it’s caused by either a) another plugin or b) a function loaded by the active WordPress theme. If disabling all of the other plugins does not help, then it can be verified whether it’s caused by the WordPress by switching to a different WordPress theme. |

I had one of our developers look into this and her found the following: “The buttons are there just being hidden by some Event Espresso CSS. Something is triggering the #edit-slug-box to have their .hide-if-no-js style applied but Not sure if the trigger is JavaScript or PHP” He then switched to the default WordPress Theme, checked EE and the same issue, plus the JavaScript action that allows for the default WP menu to fly out their submenus stopped working. So there seems to be a bug in EE. |
Hi there, Has anyone on your team customized any of Event Espresso’s files or any of WordPress’s core files? Bugs like this do not appear out of nowhere. |

Along with the above, any JavaScript issues you see in the admin can be cleared up by asking WPEngine to restore the WordPress Heartbeat API for your WordPress admin. They block it. Your developer can also apply this patch: |
