We started with the Invoice method of payment, and then subsequently switch to bank transfer/EFT. The invoice that is displayed when we use the bank transfer/EFT options is the one configured in the Invoice payment method. So to change some details in the invoice I had to activate the Invoice payment method, make the changes, then deactivate the Invoice payment method. Now I know this it’s not an issue but it does seem a bit counter-intuitive.
All details for the invoices use the details provided within the Invoice payment method, the reason for this is to provide a centralized location to for the details to be pulled from for multiple different sections of EE.
You could leave the Invoice payment method enabled, but just disable it for front end use within the settings, you can do that by unchecking this box – http://take.ms/nRQS3
Then saving the settings.
The invoice payment method will then be available within Admin payments made within the transaction but not on the front end.
