Hi guys,
I want to change the <h3> tag into <h2> tag of the event overview page where you can see the description, the signup form and the price for the event. But if I change the tag from <h3> to <h2> nothing happens. Am I right to edit the event_list_display.php and event-list.php in the /templates folder?

Would also be great to get an advice how to remove this border line of the whole event form. Cant find the variable in the css data.

Thanks a lot for your advice,
Hubertus

It worked now but I still got the problem to change this template here: http://abload.de/img/bildschirmfoto2014-04x7ll6.png and the event page where the descriptions is placed and beside that where people can fill in their personal information like name and surname. Where can I find to edit this template?

Thanks a lot,
Hubertus

Hi Hubertus,

Some of those fields are required for Event Espresso to be able to process registrations correctly. What changes are you wanting to make?

Hi Lorenzo,

Thanks for your quick reply. I want to make adjustments on the HTML code. I don’t want to remove php code or any necessary snippets that may affect the plugin like changing the <h2> tag into another one for instance.

Best,
Hubertus

Are these changes related to styling the page with CSS?

No I wanted to change these tags by changing the code directly in the HTML code because there are several CSS signs connected to.

Best,
Hubertus

It would be very important for me to get an info about how the template files are called that I’m planning to adjust by changing the headline texts and some other HTML codes.
Best,
Hubertus

Hi,

The template files are mainly located in the event-espresso/templates folder.

The Payment screenshot you linked is part of the gateways so is located in event-espresso/gateways, specifically the gateway_display.php file.

Please note if you modify these files directly, they will be over written on update. If you copy the files to the relevant location in the wp-content/uploads/espresso directory, then updates will not over write the modifications, though you may need to check them at every update in case of template changes.

Hi,

thanks I found it, but what I didn’t find still is the overview page: http://www.ichom.org/event-registration/?ee=2 I want to change the architecture and layout of this page but can’t find the particular template file to do so. May you please give me a tip?
Thanks,
Hubertus

I found the page and I could change the layout to the one I wanted. Now I’m finally looking for the template that shows these personal information headline and all fields that are connected to this as you may see on my screenshot: http://abload.de/img/bildschirmfoto2014-04loxde.png

Hi Hubertus,

That is the personal information question group along with the questions.

Are you wanting to change the order for these questions?

If so, you can make that change through Event Espresso –> Questions.

In this area, you can also change the field headings. Note that these are system questions so while you can make edits to them, then can’t be deleted.

Let us know if this helps!
