How do I control the information that appears on our Paypal invoices? I’m trying to add the date of the event to the information that shows up there but I’m having issues finding how to control that.

Hi Andy,

May I ask what the issue is that you’re having? The file that handles this for EE3 is the paypal_vars.php file in /gateways/paypal. The PHP there can can be edited to include sending an event date along with the event name. The /gateways/paypal folder can be copied over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways.

Alternatively, you can include the event date in the event name, and then no custom coding would be required.

It was a request by our billing dept, it would improve their workflow to be able to pull that info from the Paypal invoices. I will look into this file thank you.

So am I understanding correctly that Paypal isn’t being passed the information by Event Espresso?

Yes that’s correct, Event Espresso passes the Event name and Attendee name to PayPal, not the event date.

You can add the event date by editing the file Josh mentioned above or by simply adding the date to the event name.
