Ok, this is a weird one. It is very strange, and doesn’t happen on other EE4 screens that I’ve tried. |
|
I’m using EE4.8.24.p |
Which version of WP are you using? I’ve not been able to reproduce this on my test sites so it could be a theme/plugin conflict. Can you temporarily switch to one of the default themes such as twentyfourteen and retest this please? |

Hi Tony, I’ve done some fault tracking, it is caused by the EE4 Mailchimp plugin. WP is: 4.3.1 I have disabled all plugins, and with just EE4 it is fine, but once the EE4 Mailchimp plugin is activated, the problem returns. The problem doesn’t happen if all of my other plugins are activate, only the Mailchimp one. I haven’t tested with a different theme yet. Thanks, Chris |
Do you have really long list names, field names or question names? If you take a look at the MailChimp metabox do the elements overflow from that? |

Hi Tony, you’re right we do! One of the form fields is long and overflows. This was created to give guidance to people registering an event – guidance that is unique to our attendees. |
I’ve created a ticket for our developers to investigate this and see what we can do. Right now you can set the width of the select elements to be 100% using something like: .espresso_mci_merge_fields_tb .ee_event_fields_selects { width: 100%; } Which will stop the select elements from stretching and prevent the horizontal scroll. However, this also means that the dropdown will no longer be fully visible when selecting the questions which may or may not cause problems depending on your questions – http://take.ms/54Mwg There’s a few different ways to add CSS within the WP Admin, I would recommend using a plugin such as Add Admin CSS simply because its really easy to remove later on (either remove it from the plugin, or de-activate the plugin) |

Thanks for the assistance Tony, and for providing some CSS. It’s not causing me any real difficulty, primarily it was just weird so I wanted to bring it to your attention. |
You’re most welcome, Chris. Thank you for the heads up 🙂 Have a great weekend. |
