Hi there,

I have a physical location and a lot of my customers like to register in person. Or they will book 1 spot online and then come in to pay and say something like “by the way, I’m bringing my girlfriend too.”

I can’t tell how to edit a registration after it’s been made. For example, say we have two datetimes of an event, how to handle if a customer says “I’d like to switch and come on Saturday instead of Sunday” or how to add additional attendees to an existing registration. Particularly if they haven’t paid yet.

Any help? My old event management software could do this and I switched recently to EE4 and I’m not 100% convinced I made the right choice.

Hello,

There are a couple ways to handle additional guests:

1) If you still have open registrations for an event, then the additional guest can register through the event page and they’ll be added as a registrant/attendee

2) If there is an existing group registration and you want to remove a guest or add additional guests, then you can cancel the registrations through the registrations overview page by selecting them with a checkmark and the using the registration cancelled option in the bulk option dropdown menu (top left area of page).

Then refund the registration through your merchant account (e.g. your PayPal.com account or Stripe account).

Afterwards, then the group can register again and pay for their registrations.

The Attendee mover add-on will let you transfer a guest between different events:
