Is it possible to edit the message that appears when an event has closed for sales?

Hi there,

Yes because the text strings that get displayed are translation-ready. Here’s a link to a guide that shows a few ways to change the text:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/

One of the strings that’s used when an event is closed for sales is:
'We\'re sorry, but all ticket sales have ended.'
and another is:
'We\'re sorry, but ticket sales have been closed at this time. Please check back again later.'

So for example if you make a custom function, your code will include these in the array of translated strings:

'We\'re sorry, but all ticket sales have ended.' => 'your edit here',
'We\'re sorry, but ticket sales have been closed at this time. Please check back again later.' => 'your edit here',

Hi there
Is there an easy way to find the right file on GlotPress.. there is quite a few

2) After you install Poedit, you can download a copy of the event_espresso-en_US.po file from our GlotPress project. Then you can open it in Poedit.

Is your site in English? Using the default site language? Is so its English (US) which is this file:

https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/en/event-espresso-en_us/export-translations/

If not go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General -> Site language.

What is set there?

Is the expected to change? I’m asking as you’ve put ‘currently’.

We don’t have a translation file for Australia currently however you can use the event-espresso-4-en_US.po file from above and rename it to event-espresso-4-en_AU.po

You click the link I provided above and it should automatically download for you.

Or you can view a full list here:

https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/

Find the ‘English’ project and then export the file – http://take.ms/A3O3v
(That’s the same location as the link I provided)
