EE4 and most recent wordpress version. Can I have help editing invoice? Too much details and ugly. I want a more minimal design.

1. Need to remove VAT/Tax
2. Put Zip code after state in address
3. Remove Order Confirmation in upper left
4. Remove (America/Boa_Vista) in Date/Time. No idea why that’s there.
5. Remove Taxes Section
6. Remove Venue Details Section.

Can you create a way to edit Invoices like WYSIWYG?

Thanks for help.

Hi Kevin,

To the best of my knowledge it isn’t currently possible to edit the invoice template without modifying core files.

However, we are currently working on a system to allow the invoice to be edited via the Messaging system. It is currently being tested and more info will be announced closer to release.

Hi,

Further to this, it IS possible, but requires copying some files.

OK so from here

/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg_431/modules/gateways/Invoice/lib/templates

copy all the files to here

/wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/modules/gateways/Invoice/lib/templates

And then edit away.

Note that if you are looking at the order confirmation you will be looking at the receipt (check the URL string). To see the invoice either go via the link in the attendee email or remove the &receipt=true from the URL.

Hi Kevin,

When we shared feedback on your question last year, copying over the templates for editing was the recommended way to edit the templates for the Invoice or Receipt.

That has changed as Event Espresso 4 now has an editor to edit those templates through the WP dashboard.

It can be found in Event Espresso –> Messages. You’ll now be viewing the Messages Overview screen. Now look for Invoice or Receipt and click on Purchaser. Here is an example of how they appear on the Messages Overview Screen:

If you do not see them, then you may be using an old version of Event Espresso 4 or they may be on page 2 so you can paginate (browse) to page 2 and they should be there.

Here is a change log for Event Espresso 4:

If you have any new questions about the using the messages system, then please create a new support post in our support forums:
