Hi, My client is having issues with EE4, their site was previously EE3 and he said he would just click one button and be able to send a message to everyone registered for an event. But in EE4 you have to go into batch email, edit the message, go and select all accepted registrants and select them all then click the send batch message. I know it’s most likely not going to happen but is there an easier way to send batch emails? They also say the automated notification message plugin won’t work as the message is different every time prior to the event happening. Thanks! |

Hi there,
Not currently, although it can be done a little differently than mentioned above. If they find the registrations using whichever method they prefer, eg: Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations. or Edit the event and click on the reg list icons for a specific datetime/ticket. They can then select the registrations from there, pick the template (and edit the content of the template on the fly) and send the batch message from there. Although, it’s still not a one-click email like it was in EE3.
I’m not sure why that means they can’t use the Automated Upcoming Event Notifications (AUEN for short) add-on as they can either create custom templates for the add-on and select them or (with a little customization to the template) pull in a custom value from the event within the template and just edit that per event, meaning it’s the same template but pulls the content directly from a custom field. It depends on which specific details change in the template which method works best (or indeed at all), but having a unique message template for each event is possible with the AUEN add-on. If they can add more details on what they need to change I can let you know if it’s possible through the templates themselves etc. |

I totally agree with you, the client just misses the one button click in EE3 and they don’t fully understand the automated notification message that it would pull info from the event through shortcodes. I was just wondering if there was another way I missed to maybe send bulk emails easier. Thanks! |
