Hi guys, my client is seeing e-mail that looks like it is not picking up the HTML in Outlook 2016. I am using default templates for all notifications (EE 4.9.53p and WP 4.9.1). They’re fine in Gmail and other modern clients but unformatted in Outlook 2016.

I have confirmed based on the below thread that the recipient has the “HTML E-mails” setting in Outlook enabled.

This has come up on a couple other threads, including this one:

Is there an alternate template that works better with Outlook? Do you have a list of reasonably well-supported e-mail clients?

Thanks,
Rob

They could try this:

– Open Outlook

– Click on File, followed by Options

– Navigate to the Mail section and scroll down to Message Format

– Untick “Reduce message size by removing format information not necessary to display the message”

Outlook 2016 is kind of a strange beast when it comes to formatting html emails, I’ve read that some folks reverted to Outlook 2013 for this very reason.
