My client has the same class running on two different days and as a result we have created two events with very similar data. The easiest way to do this is to create the first event and duplicate it for the different day/time. The problem is that even if we change the title it doesn’t create a second event post.

The only way to do this seems to be to recreate the event from scratch which is extremely time consuming. Is this bug going to fixed?

Adding myself in here to get the response.

Also, when I duplicate an event, it ALWAYS duplicates it twice.

Hi there,

I’ve asked one of the developers about this before, and the answer I received was the intent of the duplicate event feature not duplicating the post was more for those who have an old event where they want to run it again, and don’t want a new new post created each time they reuse that old event.

What I would suggest for you with this use case is to use the recurring event manager and create the events in one shot. That will actually create an event post for both of the events that you enter into system. One tip when using this feature for two different days: You can use the manual date selector instead of the automatic date calculator, it’s a lot easier to manual pick a few dates.

That’s not something I’ve been able to reproduce. I’ve even logged into someone else’s site where they were having the third event created when they used the Duplicate event feature and I could not get it to do that. One of the possible explanations I thought of was maybe it’s a browser specific issue. Can you go to supportdetails.com and let us know the browser details of the web browser that you are using so we can investigate further?
