I duplicated an event in EE and was surprised to see the registrations linked to tickets in the new event. I am fearful to trash them as they are linked to the original event to which they were sold, which is still an active event. What is the protocol for duplicating events without retaining registration info from the original?

Hi there,

Which version of Event Espresso are you running? Duplicating events should not be carried over to the duplicate event.

I just tested the latest version of EE4 to confirm this is working as expected and didn’t run into any problems.

Thanks. I am using EE4. When I duplicated an event, the tickets for that event carried over (as expected). However, the registrations within that ticket(s) also carried over. DO I misunderstand how this should work? I should think a new event/tickets should be created with empty data.

No, your understanding is correct. A duplicate event should basically carry over the datetimes/tickets but not the actual registrations.

Can you let me know the exact version number you are using of EE4 please?

And to confirm, your using the ‘Duplicate event’ button just under the event title?
