I duplicated an event and the questions of the original event did not duplicate with the new event. The questions are the bases of my registration process and I need for them to duplicate as well. Did I miss a step. Thanks for your help. nobta.com ee3 |
Hi, questions and question groups will not be duplicated when an event is duplicated. This is because questions and questions groups are setup outside of the event editor and are then linked to an event via the event editor. If the questions and question groups are the same, then you can enable that through the event editor. If you need a new batch of questions and question groups, then those will need to be created separately and then linked to your new event. Here is a tutorial on how to do that in Event Espresso 3: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-registration-forms/ — |

Alright but I feel a little inadequate here. I have all my questions and groups organized. but I don’t see where you enable duplicate questions through the event editor, as you mentioned above. And I don’t believe it states this in the link above. |
Hi, Questions and question groups are not not duplicated through the event editor. Specifically, there is no option to duplicate questions or question groups. If you need a new set of questions and question groups, then these would need to be first created through the questions editor and the questions group editor and then they could be linked to an event. See this page for more information on creating these: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-registration-forms/ — |

Lorenzo, In the Jan. 22nd post you stated “If the questions and question groups are the same, then you can enable that through the event editor.” This is what I am trying to do “enable”. All of my question groups and questions will be the same for 6 different events I am having. |
Hi, they should automatically be available for selection in the event editor in the question groups area (bottom right area of screen). If you have many existing question groups, then you may need to position your mouse over the existing question groups area and scroll down to view all of them. Then you can enable (place a checkmark) next to the ones that you need and save changes to the event. — |
