Duplicated events sharing registered guests' info across multiple tours

I just switched from EE3 to EE4 and all of my events are dramatically different and I have no idea how it works. The most urgent matter is duplicating an event. If I create an event on March 31 and set the number of guests that can register at 10, it pulls data from another event with the same name. If that event has people registered, it lumps them in to the March 31 event as attendees when they’re actually registered for another event. How can I create an event, duplicate it to occur every Saturday, but keep registration separated?

Hi there,

Are you duplicating the event post itself or a datetime/ticket within the event?

Duplicating an event should not copy the attendees from the original to the duplicate, but if you add/duplicate a datetime within an event you’ll see all the registrations on the event when viewing the registration list.

Can you post the steps you are taking for the above? I can’t reproduce attendees moving from one event to another so need a step by step of what you are doing is possible.

How can I create an event, duplicate it to occur every Saturday, but keep registration separated?

EE4 does not support recurring events at this time, so each of those events will need to be manually created.

I was duplicating tickets. Thanks! I found the “duplicate event” tab today.

It’s OK to duplicate tickets but in order to avoid the issue you’ll need to add a new datetime and assign the new datetime to the new ticket, and un-assign the original datetime from the new ticket.
