EE has been sending out these duplicate “auto date/time notifications” emails automatically, but slightly randomly, however the emails aren’t identical. The emails are very similar, however one displays an image, and the other doesn’t display images.
It’s going to both event admins and “primary registrants” (the person booking) too.
Can you see these duplicates in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity?
If so, what does each message show under the ‘Message type’ and ‘Context’ headings?
Generally, when we get reports of duplicate messages, its due to either a message type triggering when someone doesn’t expect it to or the contexts within a specific message type have been edited and now send to multiple people.
So the above confirms which message type(s) and which context(s) within those are sending.
If you can add a screenshot of the table showing the duplicates that should help:
Thanks for getting back to me, I’ve checked the Message Activity and under Message Type and I couldn’t see any duplicated messages, most messages display “Automated Upcoming Datetime Notification” with some others displaying “Payment Received” and “Registration Pending Payment”.
Under Context, they mostly display “Registrant”, with a few others saying “Event Admin” and “Primary Registrant”.
If you know a specific registration this has happened on and you can find that registration in the registration lists (either using the fill list or by browsing the registration list for a specific event). If you click on the icon it should list any messages sent through the message system for that specific registration.
