Duplicate Event Registration Details Messages Sent to Customer

What the title says… using PayPal sandbox ee4.6.9. Customer receives between 2 – 4 of these messages randomly… however, the “Event Payment Details” message comes through once. Will provide feedback if it is occuring in live transaction mode soon.

Ok, so correction, the client receives about half a dozen emails whether in live transaction or test mode. Also, the ticket quantity is missing from “Event Registration Details” messages. Still super unimpressed with the system. It seems you guys fix one bug and create four more!

Hi Susan,

I’m sorry for the trouble. When you test a transaction, is it sending out multiple copies of the admin notification, the primary registration notification, or the registration approved notification? This information will help us investigate. If you can post a link to the event and it’s okay for support staff to test a registration/payment, that will also help us to investigate.

One thing that will help to know to reduce the number of emails is if the Primary registrant is set to receive a registration approved email, they will receive two registration approved emails. You can disable this email by going into edit the Registration approved Primary registrant email, then blank out the “To:” field, then save. After you save, the messages list table will look like this. The primary registrant will continue to receive the Registration approved messenger for the “Registrant” context.

We have a fix for this and it will be in the next software update.

Is this fix released yet? I updated to 4.6.11 but still have the issue with the ticket quantity? You guys have the system login credentials on file. Could you take a look at our message templates to ensure nothing is missing?

Hi there,

It’s up to you where you like that ticket quantity to be displayed in the messages. I checked though and I can see that you do have the [TKT_QTY_PURCHASED] shortcode in the Primary Registrant’s Payment received template. You’ll see it in use in the [TICKET_LIST] section.
