All of a sudden I am seeing duplicates of each default message templates. These are not custom message templates. Duplicate Message Types

How do I remove the duplicates?

Hi,

If you go to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings then switch to the settings for email templates, does it show duplicates there? If so, you can drag any extras over to the “Inactive” box.

Josh, in the settings it only displays the Message Type once. I have disabled ones I don’t need, but the remaining ones are still displaying in the Default templates list.

Can you try deactivating, the reactivating the message types that have duplicates?

I just tried that, but it still comes back in with two duplicates. Interestingly, there are some items in the registration form that are displaying twice as well. Phone Number and Zip/Postal Code which are system options are also displaying twice. Hard to imagine it’s not related. Duplicate form items

Has the database been migrated from another site or restored from a backup recently?

Yes, the WordPress install was copied to from a dev url to the live directory in the last week.

Depending on how that was done, they might need to undo some of those changes.

If the only issues you’re having are the duplicated questions and message types, then a tool like phpmyadmin could be used to go in and delete the extras (found in the esp_message_template_group & esp_question tables)

Ok fair enough, I can try to remove them from the database. I was not involved in the migration, so I’m not sure how it was done. Thanks.

Please be sure to take a backup of the database before making edits.
