May I ask are the duplicate emails being sent at exactly the same time or is there one email sent, then another of the same email sent later? If you’re not sure you can review the Messages Activity List table in Event Espresso > Messages.
Also, is the Generate and send all messages setting in Event Espresso > Messages > Settings set to “On the same request” or is it set to “On a separate request”?
Firstly my apologies for not keeping you in the loop over this issue, I should have at least let you know what was happening here and I haven’t, for that, I’m sorry.
iPay88 provided us with a test account to work on this, test accounts with iPay88 are valid for 30 days only and then you have to re-apply, so we had to wait for that to be set up.
Then after attempting to use the account to reproduce the problem we got a ‘permission not allow’ error which I can’t find documentation on. I’ve contacted iPay88 to see if they can confirm the testing account is valid and why we get that error is but having sent 3 separate messages I’m still waiting for a reply.
I suspect iPay88 has changed something with their payment response that is causing EE to validate the payment twice (due to how iPay88 works it should validate on the IPN or the user being returned, but sounds like its doing both). It’s just a guess currently until we get a working test account to confirm on.

Piece of mind that, that this issue is being looked into and hope that this issue can be resolved soon.
Please do keep me updated on the matter and hopefully there will be new version iPay88 that will fix this issue.
