downloaded and installed the EE4, then, my page become a blank page, no matter showing the calendar or the WP admin login page. What can I do? THX~ |
Hi Lydia, This can be caused by many things but usually this means you have exhausted the memory limit set on the server. The first thing to do is a full site back-up (both the files and database), we have a guide posted here for how to: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/ So the first thing to try is to increase the WP Memory Limit. You’ll need FTP access to the site, locate wp-config.php. Download and edit that file. Look for define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', 'XXM' ); (where XX will be a number) If it is already defined increase the limit at least 96M (or higher like 128M or more), or if you can not find that within the file add this: define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M' ); Somewhere above/before this line: /* That's all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */ Then re-upload that file, replacing the original. Can you now access the site? |

Thx for the reply, I can’t do the steps u mentioned above. any other approaches can do? like uninstalled the EE4? |
Currently can you log into the Admin? Do you you have FTP access? |

I do not hv ftp. |
Hi Lydia, You need either FTP or cPanel access to use ‘File Manager’ to rename the plugins folder and de-activate all plugins. If you can not log in via the Admin and also do not have FTP/cPanel access which could be used to disable the plugins you will need to contact your host and have them fix it. As mentioned I suspect you have exhausted the memory limit set on the server, so even after the plugins have been de-activated the limit will need to be raised, unfortunately FTP/cPanel access is required for this, or you can ask your host to adjust it. |

I hv contacted the blue host, it seems that the blank page is not related to what you mentioned. Thus, any other ways to fix the blank page problem now? Plz help, THX |
Hi Lydia, You would need to temporarily rename the WordPress plugins folder. This wont remove your events. This will deactivate all plugins on your site and should restore access to your WordPress admin. Then you can change name of the plugins folder back. Please see this link for more information: — |
