Hi,
We recently launched a registration site which uses Event Espresso for Event management. We’ve noticed that the Download PDF isn’t working upon accessing the invoice/receipt after a registration has been successful, it allows the registrant to download the PDF, but it is completely blank when opened.
It was displaying an error message before: (home/***/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/third_party_libs/dompdf/dompdf_config.inc.php on line 329)
But this was resolved by installing the MBSTRING extension, have you any ideas as to why the PDF function is generating blank PDFs?

Hi Jonathan,
That might be throwing a fatal error so there’s no output. Can you check your PHP error logs right after you try to generate a PDF?

Hi Josh,
Thanks for your reply, upon attempting to do a test registration with debugging enabled these errors are displayed and block access to the registration form page, any ideas?

Hi Jonathan,
According to this support thread on the wp.org support forums, you can fix the error you’re seeing by resetting the db password (usually this is done in your host’s control panel), then you update your wp-config.php file to use the new password.

Thanks for the response and apologies for the delayed reply, I’ve managed to put a registration through and capture the php errors in the debug log please find it’s output below, can you interpret where it might be going wrong?

It doesn’t look like any of those errors have anything to do with Event Espresso, but you still can follow the advice given in my earlier reply to fix those warnings that say “PHP Deprecated: mysql_connect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future”.
