We are testing the EE plugin on our WP website. Once we paid, we (as registrant) received 4 emails:
– Ticket & invoice
– Registration details
– 2x Payment receipts
Is there a logical explanation for this problem?
I was browsing in the support forum, but couldn’t find a solution.
WordPress users are always a little weary when updating plugins.
We recommend creating a development copy of the site that is identical to the live version, then run all your updates there first to check for issues, if none are found run the updates on the live server. It still doesn’t remove all changes of issues but reduces it down a lot and allows you to work on those issues that do pop up away from view of your visitors.
If that’s not an option then we highly recommend creating a database backup before updating any plugins, themes or WordPres itself, just to be on the safe side. There are multiple plugins available to help with this, here is one I use as an example:
