Is it possible to have a field where users can make a donation when buying their ticket / entry, and also if they can possibly purchase extra addons during this process (like merchandising items – tshirts, caps etc)
We run an outdoor events company, and often our events are linked to charitable causes that we try and raise money for. This is normally done during the registration process, and the users can simply select to make a donation, and fill in an amount – this amount is then added to their total entry amount before they are redirected to the payment gateway for payment. We also want to offer them the chance to buy event specific merchandise during the reg process too – which could also be added to the total pre-checkout.
I am currently beholden to someone elses system for this, and want to get my own in place – EE looks like it will do most of what we need – would be great if it could do this as well.

Hello Sian,
We appreciate your interest in Event Espresso.
We have an add-on called, the Espresso Price Modifier add-on. It is currently in beta for our customers to test. It allows you to add items, like t-shirts, to an event registration. When the registrant selects the item, it increases the price of the registration by the amount set in the setup. This could also be used for donations. The only drawback would be that you’d need to pre-set amounts for them to select.

That looks perfect. Ok, I think I now have almost all the ammo required to convince my partners we need to purchase EE.
One final question – is it possible to select which data you want to export ? What I mean is I would like to be able to look at all fields I have for an event (name, surname, event etc) and select which columns I would like to export – while this is not critical right now (as I can rework the exported excel file) it would be a great function to have.

Hi sian,
Unfortunately no, the export data is in blocks:
Export all attendee data
Export all event data
Export a single event’s attendee data
Hopefully in the future we will attend to this when we look again at the whole reporting aspects of Event Espresso, but it will be sometime after 4.0 and 4.0 ready plugins have settled in.
