Previous topic: Hi, WooCommerce have finally provided a fix and I’m once again able to download PDF’s. However now have an issue that the formatting of the Evetn Espresso downloaded PDF is not matching the layout of the HTML PDF – logo’s missing (sometimes), formatting off (sometimes) images missing (sometimes) – basically hit or miss whether the downloaded PDF is usable. If you need examples let me know. Thanks,

Hi Steve, Do you have any details of the fix that has been implemented? If you can provide examples I’ll take a look, also if you could send the latest version of the plugin that includes the fix to support[at]eventespresso.com I’ll take a look at that too. |

Hi Tony, They did not provide any detail around the fix, just an update to the plugin. I have emailed this to support as requested, along with some screen grabs of the PDF download formatting issues. Thanks for your help, |

The screen shots showing the missing logos would normally mean allow_url_fopen has been disabled on your server. You mentioned this is intermittent, so downloading the same PDF multiple times that PDF may or may not show the logo? Or do you mean between the HTML previews and PDFs? Can you send me a link to one of your invoices so I can view this, or an event I can run registrations on to view the invoice. Again if you prefer to keep this off the forums you can email them to the previous address. |

Hi Tony, The downloaded format is different when downloading the same PDF!! I’ve sent the link to an example PDF to the support email. Thanks, |

Hmm, this is strange. So the same PDF works on one request, but then not on another. I tested this out on 3 different test servers and downloaded the PDF multiple times from each of those without this issue so I suspect your host may have some hotlink protection or some form of firewall that blocks X amounts of connections. DOMPDF makes separate single requests for all of the stylessheets and images used within the PDF so it may be hitting some limit within the site when generating the PDF’s multiple times. Can you check in with your host and see if they can provide any details or suggestions for this? I don’t think the causes is the Woo PDF plugin but if you temporarily disable that plugin and download the EE PDF multiple times again, does the same happen? Also if you go to Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System Information. What is set for wp_memory and memory_limit within that section? |
