Another EE site is about to hit the Internet!

I am confused by what I read about license keys.

In the EE install I see:
“Adding a valid Support License Key will enable automatic update notifications and backend updates for Event Espresso Core and any installed add-ons. If this is a Development or Test site, DO NOT enter your Support License Key.”

Welp, I put the support key in there for tasny.site. But the new site is going to be theartstudiony.com

Can someone let me know what to do to make sure I keep getting auto-notifications and updates.

Thanks!

You can remove the key from tasny.site by going to its Event Espresso > General Settings page then blanking out the key field there. Then click the button to save the settings page.

After theartstudiony.com is live, you add the key there.

Ok, I’ve done that and requested a “reset” from my account page.

I was seeing a 504 gateway timeout the first 3 times I tried to submit the new key. But it has resolved now. Thank you.

04 Bad gateway as a response, or from your server?

As in did it shows as a 504 in a notice or the whole site? If it’s the whole site it could mean your server is struggling to rebuild the EE_Config (which happens when changes are made on General Settings).

If it was a notice it would have been our side but I can’t find any 504’s logged.

It was only on the submit of the key. All other pages of the website public part and the admin side were loading just fine at the time that the key submit was spinning its wheels.

Anyhow, it was resolved and now I believe I am licensed again.

Thanks for the feedback.
