Do I need clear out an archive of timed out forms in my database? If so, where is it, and how do I go about it? Thanks, Laura |
Hi Laura, Ca you add more details on this, I don’t want to lead you down the wrong path here as you’ll be removing data… which is so easy to add back in if its wrong 🙂 Maybe include some screenshots of the data you are looking at? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots |

Hello Tony, I wouldn’t know where to look. My son works in IT and they have a ticket system that stores all the timed out client side work order submissions. The other day they found out where they are stored and had over 10,000 submissions. I just don’t want anything like that happening with the TOCIFT EE4 stuff, so I’m asking if it does store the timed out data and where I can get rid of it if it does. Thanks, Laura |

I can get into phpmyadmin, if need be. |

I did see this data that I’m wondering about: |
Event Espresso does not automatically delete past data, so in short, yes it will store your previous event data (The event, registrations, transactions, messages etc). To remove those you would need to remove the events from within EE (Do not work directly within the Database (DB), there are a LOT of relationships between EE data and the UI handles those, working directly within the DB does not). So in short, you want to remove past events and the data related to those? |

Is there any way to duplicate existing events to clear them out and start a new event that is the same? I have a lot of custom stuff associated with the event structure. Recreating each one will be a pain. I currently have been deleting all my registrants and was hoping that started me from scratch. My event just went on sale and I don’t have any purchases yet and probably won’t for a couple weeks. I’d like to clean this up if I can. Any ideas? |

Scratch that. I did already get a registration. Perhaps I will have to try to get this done next year. Unless you have an idea? I suppose I could download the csv and then upload it again this weekend, if you come up with something. Thanks or your help Tony. |
Yes, edit the event and under the title should be a duplicate button. Clicking that will creat a copy of the event with Try clicking that and see if the duplicate event copies over all of the data you need it to (it wont hurt anything trying it out)
It’s going to depend on what that is and how it’s done if the above is useful.
How many? A small number you could just re-register onto the ‘new’ event, or use the attendee mover add-on |
