Yes and no. The issue for me is that I have multiple calendars that are based on location and need to place multiple categories within each of the calendars. Some calendars/cities will show certain categories while others will not.
This is the shortcode I have been using in order to show events/programs that are in a certain city:
[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id=”your_category_identifier”]
So I guess my question now is, can I place multiple categories within a calendar that is a category in itself?
I can suggest using the “Enable Filters in Calendar” feature, and/or possible the “Show Category Legend” feature. This will make it possible to display one calendar, and the site visitor can select the category or event venue that they want to see events for.
If that’s not the solution you’re looking for, then another alternative is to create a “parent” like category where you place all the events that you want to be displayed into a specific calendar into that category. Events can be assigned to more than one category, but the category parameter within the calendar shortcode can only accept one category.
