Is there a way to display all upcoming inactive events in the various Calendar Add-ons and also to remove the Register Now button on the inactive events only?

Hi,

By inactive I assume you mean that the registration is not open yet?

If so these will appear by default in the calendar and the Register button will show Registration Not Open.

No, I mean events where when it says “Is this an active event?” I check “No” because the event is not using the system yet.

I want all the event information to show up but no information about registration/price, etc. so I can just use the Calendar to list lots of events – even events not using our registration system.

Hi,

Inactive events will not show up on the calendar.

What you could do is set them to active but then disable the registration form making them impossible to register for. Price details etc will be removed, though the date will still show.

Is there any variable I can change to make inactive events show up? I don’t want the register now button to appear on certain events.

Hi Emily,

If you edit one of your events, look in the sidebar within ‘Event Options’, you will find the ‘Display registration form?’, when that option is set to no for the event, it will not display the registration form, and the Calendar will display ‘View Details’ rather than Register now.

Does that help?

That is not what it does. When I mark it as “No”, it continues to display “Register Now” in the Calendar List Add on, Vector Add On, and also displays a price. When you click on Register Now, the event information shows no ability to register or pricing but the initial view of it in the list form shows all this information.

To clarify – it shows incorrectly in the Calendar Table, Calendar Accordion and Vector Map display Add-ons.

Hi Emily,

I’m sorry I didn’t realise you were talking about the Custom Templates, I can confirm this behaviour on those templates and have created a ticket for this to be fixed.

Are you using the latest version of the Custom Template Add-on? (Currently version 1.1.p)
