When I register for an event, I would like to see “you have already registered for this event” – so I don’t accidentally register again. Is this possible? And if, so is there a way to see my registration details?

Hi,
You would need the WP User Integration add on installed and activated. Then after a (logged in) user registers for an event, those details are logged against the user.
That way you can give them access to their profile which will contain a My Events page, or use the ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS shortcode to display it on the front end.
The addon does not show a message for previously registered events. However there is a small script that can be used to display a message https://gist.github.com/Apina/f11b5ce2db10f7b3bb93. Please note that that script is by no means complete and is not supported by us. It is merely an example to get you on the right track.

Hello, the Espresso members / Wp user integration is currently compatible with Event Espresso 3.
