Because EE allows a user to register multiple people and purchase multiple tickets at the same time, is there a way to display multiple promo fields that will apply to the total?
I would hope there is a way to do the above, if not than the less attractive alternative is to restrict EE to only allow one user to register at a time to allow each Registrant to apply their promo code. The snag to this is that currently EE displays multiple Registrant forms based off the number of tickets selected. For example, if the user select 2 tickets than the next page displays Registrant information for two Registrants. How can I only display one Registrant form? Also, related to this less attractive scenario, is there a way to only allow a user to choose one ticket on specific tickets? For example, the event offers a dinner ticket and the main event ticket. How can I restrict the main event ticket to only allow a user to choose one and allow the user to choose multiple dinner tickets for their guest?

Not exactly, but it can allow for submitting one promo code then another, then another. To allow this, you set the promo code’s “Promo Is Exclusive” option to No.

You can uncheck the boxes next to question groups in the event’s “Questions for Additional Registrants” metabox.

Yes, in the event editor, next to the ticket, you’ll see a gear icon
You click that gear icon and you’ll see a Maximum Quantity field that you can set to 1.
