We would like to use discount codes for free access to our venue for our volunteers. The code is working and reducing the ticketprice to zero, still the visible price on the ticket is the original price (€ 7,50). Is there a way to adjust the price on the ticket when the buyer uses a discount or promotional code? And to show the code on the ticket so we know at the check-in which code(s) have been used?

Currently this isn’t available within Event Espresso, you would need some custom development to create a custom shortcode for this.

This is available as long as you are using the latest version of the Promotions add-on.
Within the ticket template (Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default Message Templates -> Ticket.
In the main content you can add the [PROMOTIONS_USED] shortcode to output ‘{Promotion Name} [{Promotion code}]’
If you click on the icon next to each individual section of the message editor it shows you all of the available shortcodes. You can also find details for each shortcode in the Help section (top right) and Messages Shortcodes.
That’s a 100% discount on one of my sites, the Promotion is ‘Global promo’ and the code ‘100OFF’.
I recommend not using a title/prefix for the promotions as if none are used on the registration it will just output an empty string, meaning if you do something like Promotions: [PROMOTIONS_USED] it will output just Promotions: for regular users.
