You can disable the Pending Payment email notification (go to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings and drag the Pending Payment message type to the inactive box).
By default, all registrations start as Pending payment, then get switched to Approved at the moment of payment. If you would prefer to skip the Pending Payment status where all registrations are automatically Approved (even if they haven’t paid) you can set the Event’s Default Registration Status option to “Approved”.
