Hi
I’m using EE4 and I was wondering if there is a way of directly linking to an event using a shortcode or something?
Currently when someone clicks on a link I can only seem to do it for a venue, this then shows a nested listing of all future events.
I really want a way of being able to link to specific events within a venue – can this be done?

Hi Ged, I’m not sure that I understand what you are trying to setup.
Is this some information that you are wanting to add to the venue description? For example, are you are wanting to create links to certain events and add those to the venue description?

I would like to have a direct link to the booking page for the individual events.
All I get when I try to copy the link for the booking page (of any event) is
http://www.teachersfp.co.uk/registration-checkout/#checkout

Hi Ged,
You can not link directly to the registration form for an event, you need to use the Ticket Selector, for this you can use the [ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=”your_event_id”]
The reasons for this is the ticket selector submits the ticket information to the singe page checkout (SPCO) object which displays the registration form. So linking directly to the page means the SPCO doesn’t know which tickets have been selected and for which event.
