Is there a way to include a digital file when someone purchases a ticket? My client has a dog training business and they need a way to automatically send a PDF of the training manual to the people who purchase tickets.

You could edit registration confirmation email template and include a link to the download.

That can work, but the only issue with that is anyone with the URL of that file can download it (it’s not linked to a person’s account where I can monitor how/when it was downloaded). I’m guessing there’s no way to grant access to a file with a custom download link?

There is, but the way to grant access to a file with a custom download link will be something another plugin handles.
