Is it possible to set up events filtering similar to the one on the following screenshot: http://prntscr.com/lhlyjx

We need couple filters (some of them would be custom filters). We need subject, the category of event, Course, Session(this would be actual event)

For example:
Group Sessions (Category)
Math (Subject)
Algebra 1 (Course)
Algebra-1-Mon-9am (Session)
Algebra-1-Wed-11am

Science
Chemistry
Chemistry-Honors-Wed-10am
Chemistry-AP-Mon-9am

Please let us know if we can achieve this with Event Espresso

Thank you.

Hi there,

The screenshot above is from a calendar plugin, so to be clear you want to add these additional filters to the EE4 Calendar?

It is possible, but you’re going to need a lot of custom development to add those filters yourself as we don’t have any of those options within Event Espresso. We do have an option to filter by category and/or venue, but not to the level you are looking for in the screenshot above.

Thank you for your response.

Either calendar or list view, that is not a deal breaker. Here is another link that is similar to what we need to achieve. https://campscui.active.com/orgs/holahp#/selectSessions/2395302

The filter is on the side, and have all the options that we need.

If this is not supported within Event Espresso, is there any third party add-ons that can do this, or are you also offering options of customization?

Thanks.

Hello,

Could you please give us some pointers for the custom implementation of filters? Also, could you point us to some documentation?

We were doing a lot of plugin customization in the past, and we have a couple of developers with us, so that should not be the issue. I assume we can just use categories that are already integrated with events and put everything in there and then make custom filters to filter that out and make it look like there are couple different filtering options (classes, teachers, locations etc.). Am I correct?

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks.

We don’t have any filters like this so I’m not sure what documentation I can link you to as its not ‘extending’ we currently have, its completely custom.

EE events are custom post types, so if your developer is familiar with WordPress it shouldn’t different from what they normally do.

We do have a model system they can use to pull in the events etc, I recommend taking at a look at the documentation for that here:

https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/tree/master/docs/G–Model-System

Yes, depending on what you want to filter by, however, to note, all of the above output will need to build from scratch as we don’t have anything even similar to what you want to do.

We can’t offer customization services at this time but recommend contacting contacting codeable.io for all custom development.
