The following occurs with a lot of our group events. I’m hoping this is just a setting we can change on the backend. Any help you can provide would be extremely helpful: On an event like: https://dawesarb.org/learn/calendar/event-registration/?ee=1179 If you register from the front end with a registrant and 2 additional attendees (a group of 3), it puts people on 3 different lines on the export with unique registration ID’s but doesn’t tie them together. If you do the same thing from the backend it puts them in the same group and same registration ID on the export, but each as a unique ID, which is ideal. We’d like this to work the same way on the front end so that on the export, the Group should be the same for people registered at the same time and so should the registration ID. The plain ID (column 2) should always be unique. Is there an easy way to fix this? Something we noticed on the same event – when a transaction comes through the website, it doesn’t show in the Amount Paid field (column L) in the export. But if we add someone on the backend and enter the amount of the transaction it does show on the export. How do we make the frontend amount flow through? And then if we can get that to work, is there a way to show, at a glance, the total revenue for a class / camp? Thanks! |

Hi, It depends on how people register. If they use the Add to Cart system then the Reg ID’s should be similar but different: 45-54e44c6ee13ea If the user registers via the “normal” form, then the reg ID’s will be exactly the same: 45-54e44ca434292 This is just down to how the plugin works internally. Regarding the transactions, the amount paid should be shown regardless of whether it has been done from the front or rear end, but for groups it will only show for the primary attendee, not the additional attendees. What payment method are you using? Regarding at a glance stats, you can click the Report icon in the event overview (it looks like a bar chart) and that will provide some basic stats regarding the event. |

Hi Dean, We’re using Authorize.net to collect payment. I understand that the amount paid should only be shown for the primary attendee, but that’s not happening in this case – no amount is shown. Any help you can provide would be extremely helpful Regarding the Report icon – thanks. I think that will help the client. |
Hi Jenna, I checked your site and it looks like all of Event Espresso 3’s registration and payment page templates have been copied over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates? If there’s a modification or some older code in those templates, it could break something in the payment process on the front end of the site. In order to troubleshoot this, you may need to temporarily remove those custom templates. |
