Howdy folks. Really excited to get going with the event espresso plugin with the stripe gateway I just purchased for a client website.
Question : My team and I will be developing our client’s website on our development servers first, then deploying to their live server. I understand there is obviously licenses involved — will my team and I run into any issues deploying the plugin with our internal dev servers first, then pushing it live? What is the best way to go about this to avoid any issues?
The license key is for support and and one click updates to EE on a single domain.
When setting up your dev server you can install Event Espresso, leave the license key field blank and then update the plugin manually. Your live site can then use the license key for one click updates.
Yes I think so. We just have our own servers for development and usually use our clients’ servers for live production. I didn’t know if there was going to be any issue with using the key twice, but if you’re saying we can use the software with our development environment and just simply not enter the license key – that’s music to all of our ears here.
You’ll be able to use Event Espresso on the development/staging site. The support license key is for support services and will connect to a single site at a time.
Thanks
