Is there any difference between this two different license types other than number of sites that can be registered? We have dev and testing sites other than production and one license is causing us problems. I couldn’t be sure since the name developer doesn’t sound like it is a license for production environments.
What issue are you running into? The licensing is only used for updates and support so one license shouldn’t cause you any issues.
The dev license basically only includes core but has 5 license keys for 5 sites, the everything license includes, well, everything (core + all add-ons) for a single site.
The dev license was introduced as a way for a developer to handle multiple clients within a single account, however, we find most users purchase a license separately.
We entered support key in one of our dev sites by mistake. when some of the add-ons are updated in that dev site using the prod site is not updating the add-ons.
Ok, so remove the license key from the sites other than production and then request a key reset from your account page and I’ll reset it for you.
You’ll need to update core and the add-ons on the dev sites manually, just use the key on the live site to run the updates through the one-click process there.
Your reset has been processed, on the live site add the key and save to reassign the key to that domain.
