Hi there,
I am looking at EE3 for a client who needs a system for booking birthday parties and would like the ability to be able to accept deposits or partial payments against a reservation. I have had a look through the forums, but don’t seem to be able to find a definitive answer. So does EE3 have the ability to do this.

We don’t have an official partial payment option. With EE3 (not EE4) you could create a deposit ticket along side the full-payment option for the event, but when they checkout Event Espresso recognized they paid the deposit ticket in full. If someone purchases that ticket the website admin will have to modify the payment record to reflect a balance due and send the customer an invoice to complete their payment later (using that button in the payment record screen). Does that make sense?

Hmmmm… OK. I see what you are saying. These guys aren’t the most vigilant of people so I’m not sure if it would work for them. But I will add EE to the list.
