Hey,
some of our courses are very expensive so i was wondering if Event Espresso has a deposit option

Hi there,
Officially Event Espresso does not have a deposit option, however, it is possible to do but it depends how you want the deposits to work.
You can take deposits outside of Event Espresso (for example Bank Transfer, mail in cheques or online payments through something like PayPal) but you as the admin will need to monitor those payments and manually apply them to the registrant’s transaction. Then on the ‘final’ payment, you can send the registrant a ‘payment reminder’ email and they can pay the last payment through one of Event Espresso’s online payment methods.
Another option is to create deposit tickets and then move the registrant to the ‘next’ ticket after each payment. For example if your tickets are $5000 you can create 5 tickets at $1000, $2000, $3000, $4000, $5000
If they register onto the $1000 ticket, you move them to the $2000 after their first payment and send them a payment reminder, the first $1000 payment applies to the transaction and when they visit to pay for the $2000 ticket, they owe $1000 for the next payment.
