Hi
IS there a method anyone has come up with to delete all transactions and registrations when deleting an event? Even through SQL myadmin?

Hi Alan,
The Event Espresso developers don’t recommend using an SQL command to delete the registrations and transactions because it will leave “orphaned” data in the line items table, posts table, answers table, payments table, registration payment table. If you or anyone else builds some queries to make those deletes you’ll need to be sure to remove all of the associated data.

Hi Josh,
How then can we delete safely complete registrations & transactions by event.
With GDPR coming into effect, holding this data is no longer a good idea.

Hi Alan,
That’s not currently a feature where you can go in and delete these by event. The dev team is aware of GDPR and they’ll have time to build something to address this. In the meantime the current options for deletion are manually delete all payments, then bulk delete registrations. Or the other option is you delete everything in one go from the Event Espresso > Maintenance reset page. The delete everything option can work in cases where you have upcoming events if you put the new/upcoming events on a subsite or subdomain.

delete payments 1 by 1 you mean? not practical when an event has hundreds or registrations!
Reset – We have numerous events setup for different clients so not an option.
Even though GDPR is not until next May , the option to removed user data in bulk should be available IMO.
