I’m sure I’m not the first with this issue – set up a new event (all good) with 4 new questions, 8 radio buttons each (all looked good). Ran a sandbox test and looked at the receipt and went “holy crap on a cracker, that doesn’t look to pretty.” Long story made short, I’d like to change the Value fields in the Questions. Wish I could have seen how this will come out before I made the nearly irreversible test. So I deleted the one sandbox registration I’d made & thought that would enable me to make the change – nope, red text says the test answers are still in the database. So I knocked around a little in the kb…found some really incomplete items including one in Github that say “just go edit your database to take those out.” Literally, that’s about all they said… And while I like my host a lot, they don’t provide PHPMyAdmin…grrrr. So, to be blunt, your competitive advantage is in making this stuff easy…having to crack out the heavy tools and do ‘life-threatening’ surgery on the database ain’t it. Is that really the only answer or did I miss something? As it is, I’m probably going with the existing ugly situation and blaming it on anyone who asks on your guys 🙂 Darn glad this wasn’t a must-fix problem like making a typo. Geez… |

Hi, we aren’t trying to create extra work for anyone but we do have some safeguards in place to minimize losing data. Changes like these without restrictions would break your site: Allow deleting of system questions For your issue, you have created a set of questions that are now associated with some registrants via testing. Were all of those registrants removed? Also, what is the page that you saw earlier in the KB? Thanks — |

hi,
At this point I’m probably going to live with the situation as is, because I need to get on with the project. Would help me if there was a shortcode to put the DESCRIPTION field on the receipt back to registrants, but I don’t see a code for that. Thanks, still like the overall product, and it gets good remarks from my management, if I don’t show them all the dirty laundry. |

Hi Michael, Thanks for the feedback. RE:
By DESCRIPTION, do you mean EVENT DESCRIPTION? If so, the shortcode for event description is |
|
No, not EVENT DESCRIPTION. I mean the DESCRIPTION field that goes next to VALUE when you set up something like a Radio Button question. I guess I could send you a screen shot of what I mean, if you want – email me if you need that. |

Hi Michael, I understand that you mean a question description now that you explain you’re inputing a question’s answer options. I checked and there isn’t a shortcode for that, but I can put in a feature request for it to be added to a future version. |
