I’ve read some of the posts about deleting registrations and transactions and I am very confused. I want to delete all registrations, including the ones where they used a payment method so I can start clean next year. I do not want to even begin deleting hundreds of transactions individually. Can I just uninstall the plugin, delete the associated folders in the cPanel for my site and then reinstall the plugin?
Deleting EE’s files will not remove any of your event/registration data as it is all stored within the database, right now to remove just the registrations you’ll need to need to individually remove payments from the transactions and then remove the registrations as you’ve found in other posts.
We are working on adding a feature that will make that process easier in the future.
However, as it stands what you can do is ‘reset’ EE back to how it was when you first installed it. It will remove your registrations, events, custom message templates and also some settings but is the quickest method to remove all registration data (It will, for the most part, be as if you’ve installed EE for the first time).
First, backup your database (just in case you find you need the data you removed). There’s multiple plugins available to do that:
Click the ‘Reset Event Espresso Tables’ button and EE will remove all of the data for you.
