I need to delete a ticket from an event. I deleted all the payments, then deleted all the registrations in the registration database, but the ticket still shows
.. SOLD. RSRVD. REGS
<name of ticket>. 0 0 37 <lock symbol>

There’s nothing I can find in Reservations for the ticket name or the event, and this is starting to ‘negatively affect’ my performance on this. I really, REALLY don’t want to have to start over and rebuild this whole event to get rid of that one ill-fated ticket.

Manually or through the EE UI?

I guess at this point I don’t care, but I don’t think I know what “manually” means. Any method I’ve seen described seems incredibly manual to me.

Sorry, to clarify, because of this:

I deleted all the payments, then deleted all the registrations in the registration database, but the ticket still shows

I’m asking if you deleted the registrations through Event Espresso itself or if you manually edited the database.

If you’ve deleted the registrations through Event Espresso then either, there are more still not deleted somewhere (possibly incomplete registrations). The ‘Regs’ count is the number of registrations currently assigned to that tickets ID in the database, EE increments/decrements that field as you add/remove registrations.

If you’ve manually edited the database… that’s not good as due to the number of relationships within EE you will likely have orphaned data and the ticket count will not have been updated on the fly.

I would never, never, never go into the data base with my ‘bare hands.’ Everything I did was within EE4.

So how would I go about finding those regs that are hiding from me? I’ve tried everything I can think of to search Registrations, but I keep coming up empty handed.

Thanks!

I can’t tell that from your forum thread so have to ask 🙂

So, one way that isn’t show in the UI is to filter registrations by ticket_id.

Edit the event, click on the cog icon next to the ticket and look in the editor for the ticket id, make a not of it.

Go to Event Espresso -> Registrations.

In the address bar you’ll see something like:

/admin.php?page=espresso_registrations

Add &ticket_id=XX, where XX is the actual ticket ID, so if thats was 36 is would be:

/admin.php?page=espresso_registrations&ticket_id=36

That will list registrations linked to that ticket.

Check the Incomplete and Trash view links as well, which are HERE (note when you click on those you’ll need to add the ticket ID parameter to the URL again).

Any registrations show up on any of those?

AhHA – overnight epiphany led me to find the little bastards hiding in the Registrations TRASH bin. Deleted the offenders from there and now I can get on with life.

Thanks!
