Hi there,

As Admin, when I want to register a payment, I have a menu of 13 (THIRTEEN!) different options

By default, you’ll have 9 but each time you add a payment method it will be added to that list.

Bank Draft
Cash Delivered Physically
Paper Check
Offline Credit Card Payment
Offline Debit Payment
Invoice received with monies included
Money Order
PayPal eCheck, Invoice, etc
Other method of payment

When you activate Event Espresso for the first time some of the above are created as ‘admin only’ payment methods and saved to the database, meaning if there was no translation for the above strings when activated they will have been saved in English.

Some of them can be changed from within the UI, they are the ‘Admin-Only Description’ description of your current payment methods and you can edit each of those individually in Event Espresso -> Payment methods.

Activate the payment method, change the ‘Admin-Only Description’ and deactivate it again to simply change the text for that option.

However, you also have the ‘Usable From’ option within each payment method, there you will have 2 options:

Front-end Registration Page
Admin Registration Page (no online processing)

If you want to remove the payment method from the admin section, enable the payment method, UNcheck the ‘Admin Registration Page’ option, save and then deactivate the payment method again (If it’s already an active payment method, just uncheck the option and save).

That will reduce the number of options you have in the admin dropdown.

Some are specifically created so that EE always has options for admin payments and the Event Espresso UI does not allow you to edit those at this time.

Currently, we don’t have an option to set anything other than the Cash option as the default but you could use some jQuery to change the dropdown if you are comfortable with Javascript.
