Date/Time timezone on receipt

On the receipt and in the confirmation e-mails, under Date/Time, it says this:

April 2, 2016 9:00 am – April 2, 2016 3:00 pm (Africa/Abidjan)

Why does it say “Africa/Abidjan” and how can we fix that? Our settings are set to United States for country.

Hi Danielle,

Go to your WP dashboard and then go to Settings. Be sure that it is set to a city/region near you instead of a UTC option.

Then save changes.

How can we get it to just not show a city? It’s very confusing when it’s showing a random city where our event is not located. The city doesn’t display anywhere else on the site, only on the order receipt.

Hello,

You can just remove that since it is dynamically generated or replace it with something else.

Go to Event Espresso –> Messages and look for the Receipt message type and click on Purchaser.

You’ll then be viewing the messages editor. Scroll to the date times section which looks like this:

Remove or replace the highlighted text and then save changes.
