For no apparent reason when I try to add a new event (or edit an old one) and place the cursor in the [Event Start] or [Event End] (or Sale) box within [Events Tickets & Datetimes], no calendar/time pops up. I am also unable to enter the date/time manually as it defaults to today’s date with the format mm/dd/yyyy! Using EE4.9, WordPress 4.7.2.

Hi there,

This is usually caused by a JS error from another plugin (or the theme) adding scripts to the Event Editor that it shouldn’t, which then throwing an error and prevents the ticket editor JS working on the page.

You mention EE4.9, but which specific version number of EE4.9 are you using?

If you open up Chrome dev tools on the page and look within the ‘console’ section, do you see any errors there?

I am using version 4.9.31.p.

Using your suggestion with Chrome dev tools get the following error when “adding new event”:

bootstrap-datetimepicker.min.js:231 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘top’ of undefined
at DateTimePicker.place (bootstrap-datetimepicker.min.js:231)
at DateTimePicker.show (bootstrap-datetimepicker.min.js:117)

at HTMLInputElement.dispatch (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-mo…:3)
at HTMLInputElement.r.handle (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,jquery-ui-core,jquery-ui-widget,jquery-ui-mo…:3)

The error indicates either a theme function or another plugin is causing the conflict. Can you find if it’s the theme or which plugin is adding those scripts?

The theme hasn’t been updated for some time so unless it’s the EE update which is conflicting with the theme, then I presume it will be a plugin. I’ll try the plugins first and see what happens.

Ok. Seems to be my Ultimate Add-on for Visual Composer plugin. I have v3.10 but they are already at v3.16. Maybe I need to renew mu license and update the plugin although not sure if I actually use it! I’ll deactivate it for now so I can use EE and see if I really need it! Thanks for the lead.
